  • About
In 2005, Jane Hasell-McCosh, of Dalemain Mansion near Penrith in the Lake District, founded the World’s Original Marmalade Awards, in a bid to grow and widen interest in the tradition of marmalade-making and to spread the love of marmalade around the globe. Dalemain is a Georgian mansion, home to Jane’s family for over 300 years. When she became the mistress of the house, she discovered a rich archive of cookery books and marmalade recipes in this historic property. The whole house is a wonderful treasure trove in which the books are just one outstanding element.
