If ever my children are famous enough to be on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Desert Island Discs’, I will not be surprised if they choose a piece of music that reminds them of their childhood days in Skye and the trauma of living with their Mum making endless jars of marmalade for hours on end in the winter. I can feel the Guilty Mother Complex creeping over me at the thought of it. They even reminded me recently of the time I had gallantly soldiered on with the job by candlelight, throughout a two day power cut. It was complete marmalade madness!
