  • About
For me, freedom means kicking off the kitchen clogs and wriggling my bare toes into a pair of sandals. Once upon a lovely day in May, I was driving to Fort William on the mainland for a rare night away. The tumbling mountain burns looked tempting enough for me to stop off at the roadside to dip my bare toes into their cool, green, icy water for five minutes. Having cold feet is bliss!
I bowled along the open road in bright sunshine under wide blue skies. Surrounded by awesome scenery, I was dazzled by the beauty of the lush greens and wild splashes of vivid colours that are the Highlands waking up afresh to summer - colours that look good enough to eat.
