Juggling my life and multitasking should be nothing new to me. Eight years have now flown past since I put this book together, and it never ceases to amaze me that it remains in demand and continues to sell. Those who know me will laugh when I tell them that, and that I am rushing to meet the publisher's deadline, working around long drives between the Isle of Skye and Edinburgh to attend meetings connected with my wider work in Scottish tourism, and taking huge delight in helping to look after my baby grandson there. This is now the fourth reprint, and though The Three Chimneys has moved on apace during those same eight years, the story of how The Three Chimneys first began in this spectacular corner of the Isle of Skye continues to intrigue those who find their way to our door. Several of the recipes and the photographs are 'classics' in the restaurant’s history. These may not have changed much - the ingredients certainly remain as fresh and delicious - but perhaps the presentation has altered and become a little more sophisticated than it appears in some of the original photographs.
