  • About

As a kid, I wanted to be a journalist. I was always intrigued by folks like Peter Jennings and Tom Brokaw. Not only were they delivering the news but their TV presence was amazing.

I grew up in the country, nestled between Philadelphia and the Amish Country, in a little town called Coatesville. I was raised by my mother and my grandmother who played an integral part in my culinary foundation. It was all about the love for the food rather than the technical approach. I was normally in the kitchen when my grandmother was cooking, mainly to keep her company. I’d learn what she was doing from watching, smelling, and always tasting. Once I was big enough to reach the stove, it was fairly easy to slide into my role as kitchen helper. To this day, I carry much of my grandmother’s spirit and her approach to cooking with me, constantly “feeding the people” with love.
