I was born in Saint Ann, Jamaica. I relocated to Trenton, New Jersey at the age of four with my mother and two siblings. Growing up, I watched my mother work two jobs as a single parent to provide for her kids. Relocating to America was a blessing in disguise, because my mother wanted to make a better future for my brother, sister and me. Experiencing how hard she worked made me want to push for my goals and make them a reality. Sundays were always my favorite day in our house; my mother would take the time to teach us about our culture and Jamaican cuisine. Since then my creativity and passion for cooking has been influenced by my West Indian background.
