Beef on the Bone

  • About
Here in the UK, the Labor Government banning of beef on the bone in 1998 not only hardened my stance against Mr. Blair’s so-called Socialist government, but it also made me realize how important beef on the bone was to me. I had always laughingly said that the main feature of my last meal, before I was hanged, would be a wing roast rib of beef. In a world where buying beef on the bone is now rather more difficult than buying heroin - should one want to buy the latter substance - I realize how angry I am at the government’s stance and how ridiculous it is. I am convinced that part of the legislation is due to the influence of the supermarkets, who do not hang their meat and would rather not have it kept on the bone because it is difficult for storage.
