  • About
Try to achieve a mix of colors, textures, and flavors when combining salad ingredients. For example, if you add a soft ingredient, such as avocado or blue cheese, balance it with something crunchy, like jicama or toasted walnuts. Add brightly colored ingredients, such as radishes, oranges, or beets to offset paler greens. Complement sweet and rich flavors with bright, acidic ingredients, like lemon juice or grapefruit segments.
