  • About
Eighty per cent of South African meat comes from animals that are either fed with feed that has been grown with artificial fertilisers and has been sprayed with pesticides, or they are reared in a feedlot system where they are given a cocktail of hormones and antibiotics.
Also, when it comes to pigs, research shows that in South Africa, two million breeding sows live in metal cages without enough room to move forwards or backwards, separated from their piglets. They eventually become our ham and bacon.
