Basically, cattle and sheep that we eat should be eating grass. Grass-fed animals live in pastures of green grass and fresh air, not feedlots. Grass fed also usually means that the animals were raised without the use of genetically modified (GM) feed, antibiotics or growth hormones designed to fatten them up as quickly and as cheaply as possible, or to produce milk faster.
