Shaggy Ink Cap sometimes called Lawyer’s Wig

Coprinus comatus Common in fields, gardens and on roadsides from late in the summer to late autumn. The caps start to turn black and degenerate rather quickly so pick only young caps before the gills have started to blacken. Cook them as soon as you return home.
