Bergamot, Oswego Tea or Bee Balm

Monarda didyma This tall herb with beautiful, ragged, red or pink flower heads has leaves which smell faintly of lavender when crushed. Another common garden perennial plant, it flowers from the end of June to the end of August. We find the red form the best of the garden forms and grow large banks of it in Eccleston Square.
