Crescent-Moon Pastries with Herby Curd Filling

At a bakery by a gleaming river on the border of the Gauja national park, these radziņš -crescent-moon-shaped pastries filled with savoury cheese or spiced meat and topped with crunchy seeds — were the first snack I came across in Latvia.
