Pasta is considered fast food nowadays, quick and easy to prepare and generally inexpensive. This recipe, however, is for a special occasion, when you can afford to splash out a little.

Remove the central stalks from the kale and shred the leaves into large pieces. Cook in a large pan of boiling salted water until just tender, then drain, reserving approximately
