A simple preparation like this softens the cauliflower but lets it keep its flavour and natural sweetness. Adults might appreciate some anchovies, chopped up and added to the pan while the cauliflower is sautéing, and some baby capers, too, with perhaps a splattering of chilli oil. You could also add some pine nuts and freshly chopped parsley to the pan — or anything else you think your family might like.
