This is so quick to make and I don’t think any child would ever turn it down. You just drop pasta into boiling broth while shouting for everyone to get their hands washed and be seated. Add an extra dash of salt to the broth now that you will be cooking pasta in it.
Bring the broth to the boil in a large pan. Break the pasta up into shorter lengths and add to the broth. Bring back to the boil, stir a couple of times and then cook the pasta according to the packet instructions. The pasta will absorb some of the broth as it cooks. Serve immediately, diving down with your ladle to the bottom of the pot to make sure that everyone has a fair share of pasta and broth. Top each serving with a heap of grated parmesan.
