Sometimes, people forget that nut-based creamy salsas exist. However, a nuttier flavor can really complement and transform a variety of things. Spoon this over a quesadilla or tortilla topped with queso fresco and you’ll see what I’m talking about. It goes well with vegetables as well.

Method

Add enough water to cover the chiles to a pot and bring to a boil over high heat.

Meanwhile, heat ½ cup (120 ml) of the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and fry until brow
