Bionicos are Mexico’s answer to fruit parfaits or fruit salads. Its roots are in Guadalajara, Jalisco, where it was created in the nineties, but it quickly became adopted all over the country for its healthy-ish qualities. You’ll usually find bionicos served at juice shops. Obviously a bionico makes a solid breakfast, but since it is made with super velvety Mexican crema, it is rich enough to enjoy as a dessert as well.
