Make-It-Yourself Baby-Cake Party Hat

The inspiration for this hat came from several sources: one of my favorite children’s books, Jennie’s Hat, by Ezra Jack Keats; all of the sweet Southern ladies in our neighborhood who go to church on Sundays in the most beautiful hats you could ever imagine; and our petite cakes at the bakery, which are embellished with buttercream roses, cake toppers, and my favorite vintage bling.
