This is an old-fashioned flaky crust with a rich, decadent chocolate flavor. Pair it with any custard or chess pie, especially the Double-Chocolate Mint Chess Pie.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unbleached (all-purpose) flour
  • ¼ cup Dutch-processed cocoa powder

Method

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa, sugar, and salt. Set aside.

In a measuring cup or a small bowl, combine the water and cider vinegar. Set aside.
