If you have an electric mixer to do all the work, brioche dough is as easy to prepare as the batter for a pound cake. This is a variation on the brioche dough I learned from my teacher Albert Kumin. His recipe called for starting with the butter and beating the other ingredients into it. I’ve revised the method to incorporate the butter at the end; the more traditional manner of preparing the dough.
