I was inspired to make this sauce after trying my buddy Chris Finch’s barbecue sauce at a festival at AT&T Stadium in Dallas on a hot summer day. I’m not a huge habanero fan because of its lingering heat, but Finch’s honey habanero sauce gives spice a whole new perspective. This sauce has canned peaches in it, but you can use fresh peaches (from Fredericksburg, if you’re a diehard Texan) for a more intense fruit flavor.
