Similarly to my Crunchy Kale Slaw, this recipe has a tangy dressing, but packs a lot more punch with the serrano chiles. It’s more of a traditional Tex-Mex slaw, and I opened my food trailer with this as one of our staple sides in 2019.

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine the green and purple cabbages, carrot, onion, cilantro, and serrano. Wearing food-safe gloves, mix well.
  2. In a medium-size bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and whisk until smooth. Pour the dressing over the vegetables and mix until combined well. Taste and add more salt and white pepper as needed.
