Green beans have their place solidified in traditional barbecue, but most of the restaurants that serve them tend to jazz up canned green beans with bacon and spices, leaving a mushy, soupy mess with little texture or flavor. This is not that! These green beans are garlicky, spicy, salty, and, most important, have texture! I rotate them seasonally on the sides menu, but they deserve a permanent spot year-round.
