Pork belly is another protein that offers a blank canvas for backyard barbecuers and professional pitmasters alike to create a masterpiece that could be savory, sweet, spicy, or all of the above. I’ve done breakfast burnt ends tossed with Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and have even smoked bulgogi burnt ends for an Asian twist on tacos. In north Texas, bacon burnt ends were made popular most notably by Travis and Emma Heim of Heim Barbecue, and have since been added to barbecue menus across the sta
