Candied jalapeños are not the norm when it comes to brisket, or breakfast tacos, but they’re the perfect accompaniment to this nontraditional take on a classic taco. Our tortillas come from a small tortilleria in Oak Cliff, Texas, and have the perfect amount of lard (fat) in them so they bubble and puff on the plancha when heated. I love how they’re thin and pliable, so you can pile on a ton of eggs and brisket without them breaking.
