  • About

Make this mysterious and delicious herbal iced tea in advance, because it’s best cold. You can buy dried hibiscus (known as jamaica) flowers at almost any Mexican market.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • About ¼ cup sugar or honey, to taste

Method

  1. Combine the hibiscus with 1 quart water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Cover, turn off the heat, and let stand for about 30 minutes.
  2. Strain, then stir in sugar to taste. Refrigerate to chill and serve over ice.
