Much more delicious than its store-bought equivalent, this classic dressing is also a breeze to make: just stir together five ingredients and season with salt and pepper. You can drizzle it on a salad, use it to dress coleslaw, or serve it as a dip for raw vegetables.

  • Mayonnaise, ¾ cup (6 fl oz/180 ml)
  • Buttermilk,

Method

In a bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, buttermilk, and sour cream. Stir in the parsley and chives and season with salt and pepper. Use right away, or transfer to a jar, cover tightly, and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
