  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped

Method

In a medium sauté pan, heat half the oil over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté for 1 minute. Add the garlic and malagueta or chili pepper and sauté another minute. Add the tomatoes and oregano and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
