  • About

A simit - an individual ring-shaped bread - looks a little like a bagel, but it’s coated all over with sesame seeds. Also, like bagels, simits are dipped into warm water containing molasses. In the recipe here, I’ve used pomegranate molasses (available from some supermarkets or online), but ordinary molasses will do just as well. The dough is easy to prepare; forming a simit takes a little practice (use a ruler) but it’s not really difficult. A big thank you to author,
