Fish chowder

• 450 g (1 lb) thick haddock fillet
• 1 small onion

Skin the fillet beginning at the tail end. Cut into small pieces.

Chop the onion finely and put it in a large saucepan with the milk and water, and bring slowly to the boil. Peel the potatoes and cut them in cubes. Cut the rind off the bacon and cut it into squares.
