A splendid way of using up leftover turkey, chicken or game
Melt the butter in an oval ovenproof dish and lay the slices of cold meat in it. Place it in a moderate oven 180°C, 350°F, Gas Mark 4, for 10 minutes, covered with a sheet of foil, to heat through. Meanwhile whip the cream in a bowl until it is thick and velvety but soft.
