Also known as savoury ducks

These savoury parcels, much liked in the West Country and the Midlands, taste very much like a robust pâté but are eaten hot. They can be bought ready made, but are much richer and more flavoursome if made at home. Some farm households eat them for breakfast, but they are best served as a high tea or supper dish with mushy peas.
