This is rather similar to Bakewell tart, but without the jam, and the almond mixture is slightly richer.

Line a flan ring with the pastry, prick it well over the bottom with a fork.

Cream the butter and sugar together. Beat in the eggs, and-milk, then add the almonds, sherry and lemon rind.
