Method

Put the flour in a large bowl and warm it gently either on a warm grill or in a very low oven. Mix the yeast with about 150 ml (½ pint) of warm water, and stir in a teaspoon of sugar. Leave in a warm place to froth up. Mix remaining sugar, salt and melted butter into the rest of the water.
