Method

Preparing the Girdle

Heat the girdle.

Mixing

Sift the flour. Put the syrup in a cup and stir in the melted butter, egg and a little milk. Stir into the flour and add enough milk to make a very soft dough. Put some flour into a small bowl. Drop tablespoonfuls of the mixture into the flour and toss to coat
