Method

Preparing the Girdle

Heat the girdle and grease.

Mixing

Beat the sugar and butter till creamy, and beat in the egg yolks. Sift in the flour and salt and add enough milk (about 5 tablespoonfuls) to make a thick creamy mixture. Beat the whites to soft peak and fold in gently.
