  • 250 g (9 oz) dried black beans, soaked in a bowl of cold water in the fridge overnight or 2 x 400 g

Method

First drain the soaked black beans then rinse them under cold water for 1 minute. Put them in a pan and add 1 litre (35fl oz) of water. Set the pan over a medium heat and cook for 45 minutes.
