This is a mango lassi given the Eastern Mediterranean treatment with the addition of Greek yoghurt, date syrup and sumac. Choose a softer, ripe mango for best results.


  • 125 g mango
  • 1 large banana
  • 100 ml Greek yoghurt


Peel and stone the mango and pop the flesh in a blender. Add the banana, yoghurt, date syrup, sumac and 100ml water then blitz for a minute. It can be quite thick so add a touch more water if you want it looser. Serve over ice in a nice big glass and sprinkle a little bit of sumac over the top.
