We created these, bottled for takeaway, through lockdown while we were operating as a deli from our old Balham site. They sold very well and we kept getting asked for them, so they stayed on the menu. Super simple but the date syrup gives it an unexpected hint of the Eastern Med.

Ingredients

  • 1 shot of espresso
  • 20 ml date syrup
  • 200 ml

Method

While the espresso is still hot, stir in the date syrup so it melts. Allow the coffee to cool. Fill your glass with ice then pour over the cool coffee and top up with oat milk. Enjoy!
