Halva Hot Chocolate

Halva is a tahini-based Middle Eastern sweet that comes in lots of different varieties. One of our favourites is a chocolate halva we came across in Istanbul. This hot chocolate is inspired by that and uses date syrup to add a bit of rich sweetness.
Ingredients
2 tbsp 1½ tsp 1 tsp
Method
Pop your hot chocolate powder in a mug with the tahini and date syrup. Add a couple of tablespoons of boiling water from the kettle and stir until you have a smooth paste. Heat your milk to the temperature that you like and pour over the tahini hot chocolate paste, stirring so it’s well mixed.
