The idea for this burger came from the classical American cobb salad that I just enjoyed in Florida. I loved the idea of chicken, avocado and blue cheese in harmony and I decided to create a smoked chicken burger around the theme.

Ingredients

  • 500 g well trimmed, coarsely minced chicken breast
  • 250 g skinless smoked chicken breasts, finely diced

Method

  1. In a bowl mix together the chicken breast with the finely diced smoked chicken.
  2. Add the onion, mustard, ketchup and chilli sauce, bind together; add the sour cream and seasoning and bind together for a final time. Chill for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  3. Using wet hands, divide the mix into 4 evenly sized burgers. Brush the burgers liberally with the oil
