For the novice or experienced cook, this is one of the easiest cakes to make using the all-in-one method. The ingredients should be at room temperature and using an electric mixer, beater or processor, mixing the cake takes only a couple of minutes. The freshly-baked cake is excellent served quite plain or it could be enhanced with mascarpone cheese and fresh mango. Since this cake can also be made perfectly well by hand, and by children, I give an alternative version with chocolate chips.<
