A combination of orange, honey and spices gives this cake an attractive flavour.


  • 175 g / 6 oz butter
  • 175 g / 6


Cream the butter with the honey. Beat in the eggs, separately. Mix in the marmalade and the wholemeal flour. Sift the white flour with the spices and stir into the cake with the milk. Spoon the mixture into the prepared cake tin and smooth level. Sprinkle the demerara sugar over the top.

Bake in the preheated oven until the cake is cooked and just shrinking from the tin. Cool in the tin
