Almonds, cherries, angelica and chocolate are bound together with a layer of caramel – small, crisp and totally irresistible.
Melt the butter with the sugar in a pan over medium heat. Remove from the hob and beat in the sieved flour, cream and lemon juice. Stir in the orange peel, cherries, sultanas, angelica and almonds. Place rounded teaspoons of the mixture on the prepared baking sheet, allowing room for the biscuits to spread.
