About

As a child I sometimes day-dreamed about the little shaped cakes known as Showboats produced by the Kunzle enterprise. Encased in chocolate, filled with sponge cake and decorated with flavoured cream, these were the only cakes my mother would consider buying, This is my home-made version, not as handsome as the originals, yet offering a memorable echo of their flavour.
