  • 4 serrano chiles
  • 2 medium

Method

  1. Preheat the broiler. Position a broiler rack 8 inches from the heat.
  2. Broil the tomatoes, chiles, garlic, and onion until blackened all over, turning once.
  3. Leave the blackened skin on the vegetables. Transfer all the ingredients to the jar of an electric blender, adding lime juice and cilantro, and pulse until coarsely chopped; season to taste with sal
