Method

  1. Lightly butter a jellyroll pan.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water and stir over medium-low heat until the sugar dissolves. Increase the heat to medium and, using a wooden spoon, stir slowly but constantly until the mixture reaches a light golden color, about 20 minutes.
