This little cantina drink is simply tequila with a bottle of Mexican cola. I added Lemon Salt to be fancy and it bumps up the flavor. It’d be perfect for el Día de los Muertos (Halloween). As a bar snack, the Spiced Peanuts are great.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces 100 percent agave silver tequila
  • 1 bottle Mexican cola
  • Lemon Salt

Method

  1. Make the Lemon Salt.
  2. Rub the rim of a highball glass with a lemon. Dip the rim into the Lemon Salt and fill with ice.
  3. Add the tequila and fill the glass half full with cola. Squeeze a quarter of a lime into the glass and then garnish with a wedge of lemon. Serve the remaining cola on the side.
