This is my friend Scott’s take on a spicy Mexican drink that means “little blood,” traditionally made with the juice of tomatoes, oranges, limes, and chiles. Don’t confuse it with sangria, the fruity drink. This definitely has a kick and is served as a chaser for tequila.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups tomato juice
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • ¾ cup

Method

In a very large container, mix all the ingredients except the tequila and chill. Serve straight up with a shot of tequila.
